About Me

Growing up within a very musical family i began classical piano lessons at the age of 9,graduating later on to organ and then keyboard synthesisers, midi sequencing, and finally up to date with all of the latest computer music software & technology.I was playing in pubs & clubs in my early teenage years, and was told by the music teacher not to attend the school music class after playing a selection of pub favourites & pop songs instead of his beloved classical at an end of term school concert!.

I have been a professional musician since the age of 21,having extensively travelled at home & abroad both as a solo artiste and as a keyboard vocalist in various bands & groups within the UK..

I wrote my first song a dance track entitled "anyway you want" back in 1979 and performed it live at gigs with the band i was in at the time and it was well received.Another song "Girl" ,which i penned back in 1981 was released as a single on my own record label and also received some radio airplay in the UK.By performing & promoting it live as a band called "Split Level" ,and conducting a couple of radio interviews it sold well & raised a bit of interest at the time!.The "B" side,an electro-pop track entitled "In the future",was very reminiscent of the 80's sound at the time.

In the mid 80's i had completed an albums worth of dance type tracks on which Paulah Harriz,a very talented female singer performed all of the lead vocals.Shortly after,Paulah moved to the USA and got a recording contract with two of my songs,"Shout" & "Boy" which were released as a 12" single on Rooney records in Florida.

All through that period up until currently i have been very actively songwriting and have now built up a very extensive song portfolio of original material that i've since written which also showcases many different musical genres.

At the moment ,with renewed vigour i am going through an intense period of creativity, writing lots of new, fresh material using the fantastic recording resources now available today.

I have included some sample tracks on the songs page for you to listen to.
